CommonLit Schools & Districts Exciting CommonLit Additions for SY 22–23

Canvas integration, 360 Units for grades 11 and 12, and hundreds of new lessons!

At CommonLit, we’re always thinking of new ways to support teachers and students. That’s why we’re excited to share some great new additions to our digital literacy program for SY22–23!

Canvas Integration

CommonLit’s new Canvas integration makes using CommonLit even easier and more accessible in three key ways.

First, teachers can seamlessly set up their digital classes on CommonLit by importing their class rosters from Canvas. Then, they can post any CommonLit lesson directly to Canvas for their students. Students will still be able to use all of CommonLit’s great interactive features, like our Read Aloud and Translation tools, directly in Canvas. Finally, teachers can send grades from CommonLit to their Canvas gradebook and even customize the weight of the assignment.

CommonLit now offers a full integration with ClassLink. This integration includes full auto-rostering and Single Sign-On (SSO). This rostering solution is in addition to CommonLit's existing integration with Clever.

Schools and districts can obtain full rostering and SSO with the purchase of CommonLit School Essentials or School Essentials PRO. Click here to learn more!

Target Lessons

We are excited to release our new Target Lessons, which are specifically designed to develop students’ knowledge and skills.

Target Lessons are easy-to-use, complete lessons that support reading, writing, and classroom discussion. Many lessons focus on a particular skill, like identifying the main idea, that they’ll use to deeply understand the text. They include scaffolded Pre-Reading, During Reading, and Post-Reading questions that give students multiple opportunities to practice the skill and build comprehension. We’re excited for you to explore our selection of Target Lessons!
