This week in class, we’re reading "A Lonely Planet Ponders" by John P. Curtin.

In John P. Curtin's "A Lonely Planet Ponders," Curtin uses poetry to address nonfiction topics, such as the relationship between the rigidity of scientific principles and the perceived unpredictability of life.

As we read, we will be discussing the theme of Human vs. Nature as it relates to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"Who's in control: humanity or nature?" and "How do we view nature?"
