by United Nations 1945

Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.

This week in class, we’re reading "Charter of the United Nations" by United Nations.

"The Charter of the United Nations" is an international treaty that was signed on June 26, 1945 by 50 countries around the world. In that same year, World War II officially ended on September 2, 1945. The U.N. was formed to protect human rights across the world, after witnessing the atrocities committed in both world wars, and to take step forward to international peace.

As we read, we will be discussing the theme of War & Peace as it relates to the text. We are trying to answer this big question :

"How can we achieve peace?"
