This week in class, we’re reading "Diary of a Teenage Refugee" by Amira.

This account comes from a 16-year-old Syrian girl named Amira and details the past three years of her life in a refugee camp in the neighboring country of Lebanon.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Community and War & Peace as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"How are we changed by war?" and "How are communities formed?"
