This week in class, we’re reading "Does It Matter If Schools Are Racially Integrated?" by Michel Martin.

This NPR interview, broadcast 60 years after Brown vs. Board of Education, discusses the necessity of integration in our modern society, and what remains to be done to improve the state of American education.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of America, Education & Knowledge, and Prejudice & Discrimination as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"How has America changed over time?", "What are the effects of prejudice?", and "What is the goal of education?"
