This week in class, we’re reading "Excerpt from Peter Pan: "When Wendy Grew Up"" by J.M. Barrie.
Sir James Mathew Barrie (1860-1937), known as J. M. Barrie, was a Scottish author. In this final chapter of the classic novel Peter Pan, J. M. Barrie's most famous work, Wendy and the boys finally grow up, leaving Peter behind in Neverland.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Friendship & Family and Growing Up as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"What does it mean to be grown up?", "What makes a family?", and "What is a friend?"
