This week in class, we’re reading "First-Day Fly" by Jason Reynolds.
In "First-Day Fly," a narrator reflects on a boy preparing a perfect outfit for the first day of school.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Beauty & Happiness, Growing Up, and Identity as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"How do we define beauty?", "What does it mean to be grown up?", and "What makes you who you are?"
