This week in class, we’re reading "Heart to Heart" by Rita Dove.
In this poem, contemporary American writer and Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove reinvents a common symbol--the heart--and in doing so, shows us what it means to be human.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Identity and Love as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"How are we changed by love?" and "What makes you who you are?"
