Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.

This week in class, we’re reading "Issues with the Articles of Confederation" by BirdBrain History.

In "Issues with the Articles of Confederation" an enthusiastic narrator describes the contents of the Articles and the thirteen colonies' reception of them.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of America, Fate & Free Will, and Justice, Freedom & Equality as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"How has America changed over time?", "Which is more important: freedom or security?", and "Can we control our fate?"
