This week in class, we’re reading "Manifest Destiny, I Do Believe" by BirdBrain History.
In "Manifest Destiny, I Do Believe," Cordelia – a fictional missionary and pioneer - writes a letter about her bold plans to travel west and "civilize" the Indians in the name of Manifest Destiny.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of America and Morality as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
