This week in class, we’re reading "Showdown" by Shirley Jackson.
In "Showdown" a teenager lives a haunting, reoccurring day in a small town.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Community, Death, and Morality as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"What is the importance of community?", "How do people face death?", and "Why do people do bad things?"
