This week in class, we’re reading "Sweat " by Zora Neale Hurston.

In the short story “Sweat,” a working woman tormented by her husband loses her patience.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Men & Women, Morality, and Revenge & Betrayal as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"How do we define the roles of men and women?", "Is revenge ever justified?", and "Why do people do bad things?"
