This week in class, we’re reading "Swimming with Sharks" by Darienne Oaks.

In "Swimming with Sharks," a boy experiences snorkeling with a group of nurse sharks.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Friendship & Family and Human vs. Nature as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"Who's in control: humanity or nature?" and "What makes a family?"
