This week in class, we’re reading "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe.
Edgar Allan Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" (1846) is a suspenseful short story told from the perspective of a murder. This story is a great way to introduce the concept of unreliable narrators, point of view (generally), and suspense as a literary device.
