This week in class, we’re reading "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe.

Edgar Allan Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" is a classic horror story about revenge and a great way to teach the following literary devices: suspense, point of view, the unreliable narrator. 

As we read, we will be discussing the theme of Revenge & Betrayal as it relates to the text. We are trying to answer this big question :

"Is revenge ever justified?"
