Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.

This week in class, we’re reading "The Fisherman and His Wife" by The Brothers Grimm.
Jacob (1785-1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (1786-1859), also known as the Brothers Grimm, were German academics and authors who specialized in the collection and publication of folklore. In this story, a fisherman catches a magical fish who grants wishes—perhaps too many.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Beauty & Happiness and Power & Greed as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"Does money buy happiness?" and "How can we achieve happiness?"
