This week in class, we’re reading "The Poetry Quilt" by Deirdre Mundy.

In Deirdre Mundy's short story "The Poetry Quilt" a Puritan girl gives up poetry after her sister tells her it's for babies.

As we read, we will be discussing the theme of Growing Up as it relates to the text. We are trying to answer this big question :

"What does it mean to be grown up?"
