Parent Guide > The Rich Man and the Bundle of Wood
Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.
This week in class, we’re reading "The Rich Man and the Bundle of Wood" by Maude Barrows Dutton.
In Maude Barrows Dutton's retelling of the folktale, "The Rich Man and the Bundle of Wood," a Rich Man doesn't pay a Poor Man enough for the wood he brings him.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Morality and Power & Greed as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"Does money buy happiness?" and "What is good and how do we know?"
