This week in class, we’re reading "The Road to American Independence" by Jessica McBirney.

In "The Road to American Independence," the text recounts the major events that led the American colonies to victory in the Revolutionary War and independence from Great Britain.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of America and Social Change & Revolution as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"How has America changed over time?" and "How do people create change?"
