Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.

This week in class, we’re reading "To the Front Lines: America in World War I" by USHistory.org .

“To the Front Lines: America in World War I" is an informational text that explains the United States’ initial reluctance to enter World War I as well as the events that made the U.S. end its neutrality.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Technology, Progress & Industry and War & Peace as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"What are the costs and benefits of technology?" and "How are we changed by war?"
