Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.
This week in class, we’re reading "Two Finalists Vie To Be 'Master Chef Junior'" by David Greene (Host).
'Master Chef Junior' is a reality show in which 8 to 13-year-old chefs compete for the title of 'Master Chef Junior.' In this episode of NPR's Morning Edition, host David Greene interviews the finalists in the 2013 season, who set a good example for their adult counterparts in the competition, as well as celebrity chef Joe Bastianich.
As we read, we will be discussing the theme of Growing Up as it relates to the text. We are trying to answer this big question :
"What does it mean to be grown up?"
