This week in class, we’re reading "Underface" by Shel Silverstein.

In Shel Silverstein's poem "Underface," a speaker describes the face they show to the world and the one that hides underneath.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Beauty & Happiness, Identity, and Loneliness & Isolation as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"Can you change your identity?", "What does it mean to feel alone?", and "How can we achieve happiness?"
