Throughout the school year, CommonLit will be leading free weekly webinars that are designed to provide educators with the essential information that they need to know about CommonLit’s digital tools and curriculum. In this blog post, we’ll share more information about these exciting opportunities!

This school year, schools and districts can also gain access to CommonLit’s Professional Development Portal with the purchase of CommonLit’s Fall Special. CommonLit’s PD Portal includes over 25 in-depth modules that focus on best practices for using the CommonLit 360 Curriculum and CommonLit’s full digital program.

Digital Instruction with CommonLit for Secondary Educators

This 30-minute webinar is designed specifically for secondary educators who are interested in learning more about CommonLit’s digital library for grades 6–12, lesson-planning resources, accessibility tools for students, and progress monitoring tools. Educators will also receive a brief introduction to CommonLit’s 360 Curriculum.

Getting Started with CommonLit 360

This 30-minute webinar is all about CommonLit 360, CommonLit’s new and comprehensive digital curriculum for grades 6–10. In this webinar, educators learn all about the design of the 360 units. Teachers will also have the opportunity to preview the brand new reading, writing, vocabulary, and discussion lessons included in the curriculum.

Getting Started with CommonLit for Elementary Educators

This webinar is ideal for elementary teachers who are looking to learn all about CommonLit’s digital reading lessons and mini units for students in grades 3–5. CommonLit’s elementary team will also share information about CommonLit’s digital tools, data tracking features, and strategies for supporting younger learners.

Join CommonLit’s content specialist, Karrin Thompson, as she discusses what the open education movement is and why we encourage teachers to use OER materials. You’ll also learn about the various types of licenses on our platform and explore ways that you can remix or reuse our CommonLit-created CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licensed content.
