This week in class, we’re reading "A Secret Code" by Christine Henderson.

In the story "A Secret Code," a girl learns to be proud of her family at her school's Open House.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Friendship & Family and Resilience & Success as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"What is a friend?" and "How does a person overcome adversity?"
