This week in class, we’re reading "Army Code Talkers" by The United States Government.
In the informational text "Army Code Talkers," the author discusses how American Indian soldiers developed codes based on their native languages to be used in WWI and WWII.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Honor & Courage and Prejudice & Discrimination as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"What are the effects of prejudice?" and "What makes a hero?"
