This week in class, we’re reading "Climate change has finally caught up to this Alaska village" by Craig Welch.
The residents of the Alaskan village of Newtok are being forced to move due to the ongoing effects of climate change.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Community, Fate & Free Will, and Resilience & Success as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"What is the importance of community?", "Can we control our fate?", and "How does a person overcome adversity?"
