Parent Guide > Excerpt from "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland": Alice's Evidence
Welcome to the parent guide for this text! Read below to find out about what your child is reading in class and how you can support him/her at home.
This week in class, we’re reading "Excerpt from "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland": Alice's Evidence" by Lewis Carroll.
In this excerpt — the final chapter of English author Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland — Alice has been called up as a witness in the trial of the Knave of Hearts, who has been accused of stealing the Queen's tarts.
As we read, we will be discussing the theme of Growing Up as it relates to the text. We are trying to answer this big question :
"Why should we value our youth?"
