This week in class, we’re reading "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien.
In "The Thing They Carried," a narrator describes the physical and emotional burdens of war.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Death, Love, and War & Peace as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"How are we changed by love?", "How are we changed by war?", and "How do people face death?"
