This week in class, we’re reading "I Am the Pine" by Clare Mishica.

In "I Am the Pine," a girl gathers the courage to go to art camp without her friends.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Honor & Courage and Loneliness & Isolation as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"What does it mean to be brave?" and "What does it mean to feel alone?"
