This week in class, we’re reading "Orpheus and Eurydice" by Ovid, translated by Brookes More.
In the classic myth "Orpheus and Eurydice," Ovid tells the story of Orpheus's journey to the underworld to bring Eurydice back to earth after her premature death.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Comedy & Tragedy, Death, and Fear & Paranoia as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"How does fear drive action?", "How do people face death?", and "What can we learn from tragedy?"
