This week in class, we’re reading "Rez Road" by Joseph Bruchac.
In "Rez Road," a speaker is reminded by their grandfather that, even amid the grim realities of modern life on their reservation, some connections are too strong to be broken.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Community, Identity, and Prejudice & Discrimination as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"What is the importance of community?", "What makes you who you are?", and "What are the effects of prejudice?"
