This week in class, we’re reading "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe.

“The Raven” is one of Poe’s most famous works. In it, he bemoans the loss of his lover and tells the tale of a man who, tortured by love, steadily slips into madness.

As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Death and Love as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :

"How are we changed by love?" and "How do people face death?"
