This week in class, we’re reading "The Ravine" by Graham Salisbury.
In "The Ravine," a group of friends go diving in a ravine where another boy is rumored to have drowned.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Comedy & Tragedy, Honor & Courage, and Social Pressure as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"What can we learn from tragedy?", "What does it mean to be brave?", and "Why do people follow the crowd?"
