Get CommonLit 360 in Print

CommonLit 360 Workbooks are consumable, print-ready student materials for the CommonLit 360 ELA curriculum. Each workbook covers one unit and includes its lessons, questions, writing prompts, and activities. Lines for writing and wide margins for annotating let students read, write, and reflect on paper.

Workbooks are available for every unit of CommonLit 360 in grades 6–8. They’re ordered by unit and grade level, so schools only need to order for the units they plan to teach. For grades 9–12, schools can print any unit from its downloadable Student Copy, a single PDF of the unit’s student lessons.

Yes. The curriculum content is the same in print and online. Workbooks change only the layout for paper: lines instead of text boxes, wider margins, and page breaks that let teachers collect Independent Practice pages. Lesson names match across formats.

Yes. Teachers choose paper, screen, or a mix, lesson by lesson. A common approach is for students to read, annotate, and write in the workbook while the teacher projects slide decks and videos from the platform. Teachers can also assign parts of a lesson online when they want students to submit answers digitally.

A few parts of CommonLit 360 live only on the platform: slide decks and videos, quizzes and Unit Skills Assessments, and activities like choice boards and presentation tasks. A small number of texts can’t be printed for copyright reasons. For those lessons, students read the text online and write their responses in the workbook.

No. Workbooks are optional for CommonLit360. They give a school a shared set of materials, and teachers keep the decisions about how to teach each lesson and whether students use paper or screen.

Yes. Each unit has a matching Teacher Copy with lesson overviews and answers to the During Reading questions. You can find it under Unit Resources on each unit page. It’s a useful planning companion whether students are working on paper or on screen.

Workbooks are an add-on for CommonLit Core and Elevate plans. They aren’t available with Spark. Schools order by unit and grade level, per student. Contact sales for a quote.
