This week in class, we’re reading "Every Man a King" by Huey P. Long.
At the height of the Great Depression, Huey P. Long, a Louisiana senator, delivered this famous speech in which he denounced the rich and argued to "scale down the big fortunes."
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of America and Justice, Freedom & Equality as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
