This week in class, we’re reading "I'm a Flint resident. I'm done paying for water that is not safe." by Tunde Olaniran.
Performance artist Tunde Olaniran uses his personal experiences to explain the impact that contaminated water and a large corporation have had on his hometown of Flint, Michigan.
As we read, we will be discussing the themes of Fear & Paranoia, Justice, Freedom & Equality, and Social Change & Revolution as they relate to the text. We are trying to answer these big questions :
"How does fear drive action?", "What is fair?", and "How do people create change?"
